Modifications

As your children grow, it’s possible that your divorce decree (or order between parents who were never married) no longer works for your family’s changed situation. Perhaps you need to modify the parenting time schedule. Or maybe child support arrangements need to be amended to reflect a change in the paying parent’s income.

When a “substantial change in circumstances” like these occurs, a modification must be requested and approved by the courts to change the original order. Contact us to determine whether you have grounds to modify your prior order and, if so, what options you have available to you.
